Summary
This role is all about creating a positive and motivating work environment! As an Employee Engagement Coordinator, you'll be the champion for employee well-being, designing and implementing initiatives that boost morale, engagement, and productivity. The successful candidate must be good at program management and good communication skills. From organizing police appreciation week, law enforcement ceremonies,
to gathering feedback and building relationships with our vendors, you'll keep the pulse of the department.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Organize and execute
events, programs, and initiatives to boost employee
morale, engagement, and well-being. This could include
social gatherings, team-building exercises, recognition programs, volunteer
opportunities, and wellness initiatives.
- Regularly gather employee
feedback through surveys, focus groups, and one-on-one
discussions to understand their needs, concerns, and
priorities. Analyze the feedback and use it to inform engagement
strategies.
- Design and execute programs
based on employee needs and data analysis. This might involve
mentoring programs, career development opportunities, internal
communication initiatives, and conflict resolution strategies.
- Foster strong relationships
with employees across all levels and departments. This involves
active listening, communication, and building trust.
- Develop communication
strategies to keep employees informed about engagement
initiatives, their purpose, and their impact.
- Monitor and evaluate the
effectiveness of engagement programs through data
analysis, feedback, and employee surveys. Use data to
continuously improve strategies and demonstrate the value of engagement
efforts.
- Research and learn about
current trends and best practices in employee engagement to ensure program
effectiveness.
- Collaborate with leadership
teams to understand their expectations and ensure alignment with
organizational goals.
- Coordinate and implement
engagement initiatives relevant to the police profession, such as
stress management workshops, peer support groups, or recognition
programs for specific achievements.
- Partner with units such and
other departments to create a comprehensive approach to employee
engagement.

- Familiarity with the specific
organization's culture, values, and mission.
- Awareness of current methods
and approaches for fostering employee engagement.

and regulations impacting employee engagement efforts.

Preferred Qualification

Associates degree required;

At least three years
company event planning experience preferred.

Conditions of Employment
The City’s Background Check Policy requires
background checks to be conducted on final internal or external candidate(s)
applying for any position with the City of Charlotte. The type of information
that will be collected as part of a background check includes, but is not
limited to: reference checks, social security verification, education
verification, criminal conviction record check, and, if applicable, a credit
history check, sex offender registry and motor vehicle records check.
Background checks must be in compliance with

The checks must be consistent with the guidelines set forth by these laws

Final candidates must pass a pre-employment
