Summary

This position will report directly to the Business and Revenue Process Program Manager and will be solely responsible to facilitate and provide assistance with a number of business processes, including or related to the varying needs of the Airport Business office. These can include, Airport lease management, Tenant space/Modification requests, Airport Design Review, etc. The Process administrator will be a part of the Airport Business team which is responsible for managing and documenting all existing and new business processes, which includes creating documentation or training materials for employees, as well as actively managing the implementation of new processes throughout the organization. Will be asked to facilitate, manage, and optimize Airport business processes to ensure compliance of procedures and schedule parameters. Create and provide reports on the productivity, efficiency, and costs of established processes and recommend/develop improvement strategies to facilitate changes. Update   and maintain process documents.

General Information:
  • Standard office hours apply, however schedule subject to irregular hours, overtime, and emergency calls back to work.
  • Valid driver’s license in state of residency and ability to obtain and maintain a City Driving Permit. 
  • Ability to pass a background check in advance of start date required.  Certain convictions will disqualify individuals from unescorted access privileges and therefore exclude from employment.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide administrative support to the management team of all Airport Business processes. 
  2. Maintenance of all data contained within specific Airport business systems
  3. Maintenance, review, and distribution of performance related documents or spreadsheets
  4. Assist with Process Improvement/Operations projects as required
  5. Maintain review, and update Standard Operating Procedure documents for business processes
  6. Administers process management tools and systems. 
  7. Ensuring completeness and integrity of information collected to conduct daily operations
  8. Establishment of measurements and targets to improve process effectiveness and efficiency 
  9. Coordinate with both internal and external staff team members, including development construction project managers, general contractors, operations team members, other field inspectors, etc., as required for specific process development
  10. Development, tracking, and implementation of process plans and schedules.
  11. Follow change control and change management practices of the Aviation Department.
  12. Track process tasks and deliverables in the Airport’s preferred process management tools.
  13. Manages the administrative aspects of different process including functionality as it relates to controlling and monitoring various projects.

Preferred Qualification

Requires a bachelor’s degree  with 1-5 years of experience. Experience preferred in process administration or project management.

Minimum Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent and seven years relevant experience.

Or

Associate's Degree and five years relevant experience.

Or

Bachelor's Degree and three years relevant experience.

Or

Master's Degree and one year relevant experience. 

Conditions of Employment

The City’s Background Check Policy requires background checks to be conducted on final internal or external candidate(s) applying for any position with the City of Charlotte. The type of information that will be collected as part of a background check includes, but is not limited to: reference checks, social security verification, education verification, criminal conviction record check, and, if applicable, a credit history check, sex offender registry and motor vehicle records check.
