Function
The Parking Systems Administrator Sr. is responsible for providing onsite and remote parking server administration and support for CLT Airport. This role provides technical expertise in analyzing and resolving parking system computing and communications problems.
Summary
The Aviation Parking Systems Administrator Sr coordinates with other departments and offices, contractors, and other key resources as necessary to achieve a successful outcome. This Administrator serves as liaison to the parking system contractor resources working remote and/or onsite. This role requires a working knowledge of the technologies, systems and troubleshoots issues in conjunction with vendors and other IT staff. The Administrator must maintain accurate system documentation and network diagrams. A primary focus is placed on evaluating CLT Airport's current parking system equipment and recommending improvements to the equipment, processes, and system as a whole.
In this role, the Administrator will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and administering a variety of technology systems and working with end users on advanced troubleshooting activities to ensure applications are working properly. Additional responsibilities may include installations, upgrades, or compliance (depending on the applications being administered). Provides advanced support and administration of application packages. This position will lead the effort for PCI compliance as a part of the annual PCI audit at CLT Airport.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Act as lead parking systems application administrator. Maintain production, training, and emergency operations.
• Administer parking systems and software by building new systems; ensure systems meet business, legal, and PCI requirements; modify and add modules and programs; conduct meetings; gather and analyze business requirements; perform data modeling; install and implement third party software; collaborate with vendors; and configure and administer servers.
• Assess, maintain, and test parking system updates, evaluate new software and hardware systems; research and troubleshoot issues; run update scripts; perform upgrades and security patching on systems, servers and software; maintain user accounts; coordinate and complete regular preventative maintenance.
• Provide technical support by conducting and attending meetings with users; respond to help desk calls and tickets; collaborate with other personnel to determine appropriate solutions; coordinate support with vendors; resolve service requests and user setups; consult on business processes and system use; communicate with customers; and implement strategies to remediate situations.
• Complete other related duties by securing servers and accounts; review documentation; perform project management; configure scanners and scanning software; schedule hardware installations; train staff and users; and debug various system security problems.
• Create technical support documentation and procedural documentation for the installation and support of applications.
• Participate in project planning and implementation meetings to provide technical inputs.
• Define and document technical aspects of system interfaces / integrations.
• Ensure future supportability of systems / applications from a technical perspective.
• Gather business requirements and designs, modify and/or develop new/or existing business requirements and designs.
• Perform related work as required
Preferred Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Three (3) years of experience in applications/systems administration, including specific experience with the type of system being administered (ERP, CRM, CAD, etc.)

Conditions of Employment
The City’s Background Check Policy requires background checks to be conducted on final internal or external candidate(s) applying for any position with the City of Charlotte.
